Prof. dr. ir. Petra C. de Weerd-Nederhof nieuw lid Commissie Accreditaties

On October 21, 2021, the Supervisory Board of the Accreditation Council (RvA) will appoint Prof. ir. Petra C. de Weerd-Nederhof as member of the AccreditationsCommittee (C.A.). The RvA is very pleased with her appointment.

As a professor of organizational science and in particular the organization of innovation at the University of Twente, she brings a lot of expertise that is important to the RvA. A chair she shared with Prof. Dr. ir. Olaf Fisscher: former chairman of the C.A. Through him she became acquainted with the RvA. She immediately found it very interesting.
“As a teacher of innovation and risk management, I tell my students that innovation is associated with uncertainties. This makes the risks greater. However, if you have a good quality system certified under accreditation, which guarantees a number of things very well up front, you can prevent risks from arising. That is of great social importance. And underlines the value of accreditation. The C.A. plays an advisory role in this. Having an eye for social interest is an important motivation for me in a secondary position. But also in my regular work”, says Petra de Weerd-Nederhof in answer to the question about her motivation to become a member of the C.A.

Besides prof.dr.ir. Petra C. de Weerd-Nederhof, the CA currently consists of four members: Prof. Dr. Mariëlle Stoelinga, ir. Kees Pasmooij (chairman), Prof. Dr. Bert Bakker and Dr. Guillaume Counotte.
