In January and May 2018, a Peer Evaluation was conducted by an EA Peer Evaluation team at the RvA. The RvA has been evaluated by thirteen colleagues from other European accreditation bodies on competence, impartiality and independence. On October 3rd 2018, the EA MAC reported that the results of the Peer Evaluation were successful.
RvA EA-MLA signatory
The EA MAC confirmed that RvA remains an EA-MLA signatory in the fields of calibration, testing (including medical examinations according to ISO 15189), inspection, PTP, product certification, management systems certification, certification of persons and Green House Gas validation and verification. This means that, as in the previous Peer Evaluation (2014), the RvA meets the requirements for ISO / IEC 17011 and the European Regulation 765/2008.
Qualification for ISO 17034
The EA MAC confirmed that RvA complies with all relevant requirements to become an EA MLA signatory in the field of RMP according to ISO 17034. This means that RvA is the first to qualify for this MLA which is expected to come into force in spring 2019.
Peer Evaluation January 2022
The next Peer Evaluation will take place in January 2022. In the meantime, an implementation assessment for the new version of ISO / IEC 17011 (version 2017) will be scheduled.
