In the past week (April 13 -15), RvA hosted the meetings of the EA Certification Committee Working Group Environment and for the FALB (Forum of Accreditation and Licensing Bodies, comparable to EA, but then only for the EMAS Regulation).
These international meetings are organized in rotation by the participating countries, generally in large hotels and conference centers. It was with pride, that this time, the RvA could receive its guests at the meeting facilities in the RvA itself, in its new offices at the Daalseplein in Utrecht.
Topics included the revision of the EA-7/04 (about the relation between legal compliance and ISO 14001 certification), developments in Energy Management System Certification, a review of the principles of the EMAS peer evaluation process and the approval of a number of peer evaluation reports (for EMAS). Furthermore, the EA meeting was used to strengthen the relationship with IMPEL (a network of representatives for European environmental legislators and regulators).
