The RvA continuously develops new accreditations. Once a development process for an accreditation activity has been completed, it is published on this page.
Industrial cybersecurity
In 2025, the first ISO/IEC 17025 testing laboratory has been accredited against IEC 62443-4-2 in the field of industrial cybersecurity.
Development costs contribution per institution is €2.000,-.
The medical biobanks
In 2026, the first medical biobank will be accredited to ISO 20387.
Development costs contribution per institution is €2.500,-.
Drinking water regulation
In 2025, the development process for accreditation against the delegated drinking water regulation (EU) 2024/370 has been completed.
There will be no contribution towards the development costs for this project.
AI management systems
In 2025, the RvA has completed the development process for accreditation against ISO/IEC 42001 for AI management systems.
Development costs contribution per institution is €1.750,-.
Artificial Intelligence Act
At the beginning of 2026, the first two certification bodies have been accredited for high-risk AI systems in the field of biometrics, which fall under the AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689).
Development costs contribution per institution is €2,000.

Interested conformity assessment bodies can now submit an application via the Prisma Application Tool.
Developing a new accreditation activity involves costs, for example for training, qualification and scope development. Bodies that submit an accreditation application in 2026 or 2027 for recently completed development projects will therefore contribute to the development costs incurred.
